Although somewhat middling at a base value of 31, a boon in Speed allows Laevatein to avoid crucial follow-up attacks from mid-high tier Speed units, greatly reducing the amount of damage she takes. DEF: While raising it is not a priority, Laevatein prefers to keep her Defense neutral in order to keep her solid physical bulk of 73 intact. HP: Similarly, Laevatein would rather avoid her superbane in HP -4 reduction rather than the standard -3 , as it can be detrimental to her overall survivability. However, it could also assist in the activation of Specials such as Wrath and Vantage. This set aims to find a medium between offensive and defensive combat in order to make Laevatein an effective combatant in both Player and Enemy Phase. As such, the additional damage from an Attack boon makes it the overall best choice of IVs. A boon in Speed is also acceptable and makes for a particularly strong option for Enemy Phase combat, as it allows Laevatein to avoid follow-up attacks from a wider range of opponents. When combined with Special Spiral, Glimmer will be ready to go every single round of combat following its initial activation.
